Featured workIterated through 7 rounds of screens, scrapping my favorite, to design user-approved data permissions screens.
Owned redesign of Episodes & Favorites pages, developing a new filter framework and challenging 3 product requirements.

Redesigned a nonprofit site for two opposite audiences, cutting time to a quote by 78%.
As a design intern, Ellie showed really strong UX instincts in understanding the problem, gathering relevant competitive analysis and research, and asking questions about the various metadata contexts for badging before jumping into solutions. She was always prepared with her rationale and how her proposed solutions fit into the broader system beyond the immediate screen or component. Way to advocate for the user and your own well-reasoned perspective, Ellie!

Her ability to pick-up and work through the badging space was fantastic! We likely would not have been able to quickly pick up that project if it wasn't for her, so she was able to help us deliver against a program in a quick, collaborative way.

Paul ArmstrongProgram Manager, SiriusXM
I have been consistently impressed with how quickly Ellie has picked up context to the My SiriusXM project and has made really intelligent suggestions for design solutions that the team seemed eager to take. I think that she is such a well-rounded designer in that she has sharpened and employed several skills to make the best design decisions possible.

Kelsey WortUX Researcher, SiriusXM
Her work on Utility Group 3 was especially impressive: it's a robust, detail-heavy project, and she tackled it thoughtfully, piece by piece. She considered the full user experience — from primary use cases to edge cases — and her thoroughness was critical in advancing both the product and design requirements. I have a great deal of confidence that, when we hand Group 3 off to engineering, there will be few if any open questions because of the clarity and care she brought to the work.

Madeleine WrightProduct Manager, SiriusXM
On the Utility team we were moving quickly, trying to complete Group 3 designs. In one day, she created mid-fi designs for several primary page screens and empty states. She is excellent at moving quickly and creatively and she is great at making sure logic makes sense and is clearly documented.

Your menus are the only reason we can survive busy nights and contributed to the $48,104 of additional revenue the restaurant had this year since having your menus.

I like grappling with the messy part of design. Figuring out what the real problem is. Design is the thing that can keep me up until 3 AM. I love to learn. I love to create. And I love to talk to people. Design lets me do all three!
I love long bike rides through Vermont, realllly hot hot yoga classes, or walking around a new city looking for the best matcha. My dad raised me to listen to audiobooks on 1.5x (or faster) only. I love to cook!! And, I have a fear of worms.

As a self taught designer, I'm proud of my ability to learn new things. I'm a curious person and always expanding my skillset. Whether I'm learning from my teammates, listening to the latest Dive Club episode, or consuming content from the designers I admire, I love the process of learning.
I'm from upstate New York. As a kid, my family moved every 6 months between Westchester and Rochester for my parents jobs until we finally settled in Rochester. In Rochester, I've lived in 3 different towns. In total I've moved 10+ times, all within New York State, but people always guess that I'm from California!
